How to Add a New SSL (Steamship Line) in PortPro

To add a new Steamship Line (SSL) in PortPro, users can create a new container owner under Equipment settings. This ensures the SSL appears in the dropdown list when creating or editing a load.

Steps to Add a New SSL

Go to Settings
Navigate to:
Settings > Equipment > Containers > Owner
Click "Add New Owner"
Locate the Add New Owner button in the top-right corner of the screen.
Enter SSL Details
Fill out the required fields for the Steamship Line and click Save.

Fill Out Owner Details

Complete all required fields:

Company Name
Label
Contact Name and Phone
Address, State, and Zip Code
(Optional) SCAC Code

Save the Entry

Click Add Owner at the bottom of the form to save the new Steamship Line.

Confirm SSL Is Active

Navigate to a new or existing load.
Go to the Equipment Info section.
Open the SSL dropdown menu.
Confirm that the newly added Steamship Line appears in the list and is available for selection.
