Video Overview:
Creating a New Custom Report
Go to Reports > Custom Reports in the left menu.
View all saved reports, including shared and personal ones.
Click "Create Report" in the top right corner to start a new report.
Selecting a Template Object
A Template Object must be selected to generate report data.
This defines the type of data you're looking for (e.g., loads, invoices, etc.).
Once selected, a default report will automatically generate.
Customizing Columns
Click "Add Column" on the left to add new data columns.
Click the red minus (–) icon to remove unwanted columns.
Use the six dots next to a column to drag and drop it into a new position.
Pro Tip: When you see the green plus (+) symbol, you can drop the column in that spot.
Column and Sidebar Options
Click the three dots next to a column to pin or rename it.
Click the left-pointing arrow to hide the left sidebar.
Grouping Rows by Category
Reports include a section to group rows by an expansion category.
For loads, you can expand by charge code.
This shows all charges (beyond base price, line haul, or drayage)
broken down in rows under the Load #.
Applying Filters
Use filters to narrow down the report by fields like:
Consignee
Load type
Terminal
Various date fields
Set date ranges for the past or future to assist with forecasting.
Note: A custom date range will not work for a cron email report, as it would send the same data repeatedly.
Use a dynamic date range to ensure new data is included in each report.
Saving and Sharing the Report
From the top right corner, you can:
Download the report as a CSV
Create a saved report to share with internal users or access later
You’ll need to name the report before saving.
To send the report to multiple emails, use a comma-separated format (e.g.,
user1@example.com, user2@example.com
).Choose the frequency and up to 3 different send times for the report.
Managing Saved Reports
Once saved, the report can be edited or deleted at any time.
The "Active" button indicates that a cron email report is currently active.
